Our Picture Princess

We are entering Kate into a picture princess contest for Shabby Apple. We need to explain why she would be the perfect Picture Princess. So, here we go!!

There once was a girl named Kate,
Who thought being a Picture Princess would be great.
She could sit and say cheese,
Do whatever she pleased.
It was bound to be her fate.

Hey diddle, diddle, the cat and the fiddle,
There was a little girl, who soon,
Would win a contest, 'cause her smile was best!
She'd have them eating out of her hand with a spoon.

Guns vs. Hoses

Jeff took the kids to the annual Guns 'n Hoses Hockey Game. Our brother-in-law, Eric, plays each year for the Guns. He is on the Utah Highway Patrol and has fun playing each year. The Cops won this year over the firefighters 11-4, with Eric scoring 2 goals. The kids held up signs taunting the Fireman. Kate was a good girl and had fun playing with grandma's glasses. She liked trying to take them on and off. In the end, she broke the glasses. Good thing for dollar stores! Grandma can go replace them for cheap.

The indians were restless!

The kids were having an especially hard time staying in one day last week. They were fighting continuously and were so sick of doing the inside things. So, I took them to McDonald's and let them run wild. Here are a few pictures from our adventure. They had so much fun taking their doggies (the happy meal toy) down the slide. We had a much better afternoon once they got out and got to run around.

She's on the move!

Kate finally decided to crawl at the beginning of December. I remember that the night we started to set up the Christmas tree, I started to see her making the effort of getting to the tree and the lights. By the next day, she was crawling pretty good and making her way to the tree to play with the lights. I guess we just needed to find some sort of motivation to make her move. She has just been so happy and content that she hasn't had to make a move to find happiness. It just runs around her in the form a brother and sister. I have had to babyproof quickly and get the gate out. OOOOhhhh, how I hate the gate!

Christmas 2008

Jeff and Eric (brother-in-law) filming the goings on of Christmas at Jeff's parents.

The breakfast of champions!! Skittles, OJ, cookies, and sweet roll. Only on Christmas!

Molly and Gabe playing with the new barn that Molly got from Santa. Of course, they are playing with dogs in the barn instead of the horses.

Baby Kate's first Christmas. She is happy as always!

The tree. Molly and Gabe decorated the tree all by themselves. It was so hard not to want to rearrange the ornaments, but I held back (see how there are like, four stars right in a row?). They had so much fun decorating it! They got out a stool so they could reach up high. This year was so much fun. It was the first year where they really got it and could participate in a lot of things.

Polar Express Party

The kids got a ticket to ride on the Polar Express from one of their preschool friends. It was really just an invitation to a Polar Express party. They had to take their ticket and wear pajamas to be admitted. They were so excited to go and the parents who did the party were so cute. When they got there, they gave the dad their ticket and he punched it real fast for them (like on the movie). When I went to pick them up, they had been given little bells and were so excited to watch the movie with their own bells. They kept acting the movie out saying "I believe, I believe" and shaking the bells. It was so cute! They are getting way too big!!
