These Pictures just make me laugh!! I thought I would share in hopes to brighten your day.

Molly's bug bites

Day #1.......Molly woke up with a swollen eye while we where camping. Turns out, she had gotten three bug bites around that eye the night before. Poor thing!!!! She would have to tip her head up to be able to see out of the one eye because she couldn't get the one eye open enough to see out of.
Day #2.....getting a little better. It took about 4 days to really go down. Then, the whole thing peeled off once it got back to normal.

Kate's Hiding Place

We have this little corner in our kitchen that all of the kids have enjoyed playing in. Kate, most recently, has discovered this spot. She loves to hide in the corner and open the door to the cupboard so that all you can see are her piggy toes. She'll open the door and roar at you and then just giggle at her game. She gets upset when her brother or sister occupy her spot and promptly removes them from "her place". It is so cute to watch. I had to take pictures to share how cute it is.

Summer Storm

Molly's first bike crash

So, anyone who knows Molly knows how timid she is. She has no interest in anything that goes fast or has any possibility to be dangerous. She has always had a big wheel like Gabe, but we have never bought her a bike because we just didn't think she was interested. My friend at work, Laura, gave us her daughter's old bike for Molly to ride. It was cute, pink, and had princesses on it. What more could a girl ask for?! All we had to do was go and buy some training wheels for it and it would be ready to ride. It took us forever to go and buy them because we kept forgetting. One day, I finally remembered and surprised Molly with a ready to ride bike. She was so excited and spent all day cruising up and down the sidewalks in the neighborhood. I thought, Finally, she is excited in something that has wheels!! Dumb mom, I forgot to teach her about the brakes, and she crashed big time! Her poor face and knee! She scratched her nose, her cheek, and above her eyebrow. So, as anyone can guess, she won't have anything to do with the bike anymore!!

Nicaragua NRT trip

We had 105 students take the course and succeed. It went really good.

We went to see this Volcano on our free day. You can't see it really well, but it was really neat and there were three volcanos conected and one extinct volcano that was covered in green vegetation.

This is where we stayed in the first city we taught in, Matagalpa. We only got to see how beautiful it was in the morning because we always got there when it was dark and raining in the evening. It was really kind of scary in the dark.....no clock, no TV, no telephone. We got to wake up each morning around 4 to the Howler monkeys, well......howling. What an experience!!

Tough thing about letting the big kids paint is that Kate thinks she is one of them. She has to paint just like them with her own paper, own plate with paint, and no help. Notice the amount of paint on the paper vs. the amount of paint on the table and chair. Oh, Well!!! Thank goodness for washable and non-toxic paint (yeah....she eats it!)!!

My Latest Sewing Projects

My Shabby Apple Knock-off attempt. I made these dresses for the girls for Easter. It was so fun and really sparked a desire to sew. I've had fun making skirts and stuff for the girls!

This skirt was so easy!! With help of my mom we figured out how to copy one that we saw in a sewing store. I want to make these like crazy. You just sew straight lines and use 4-5 different patterns of coordinating fabric and voila!! Cuteness!!

Crazy sleeper

We often find Gabe sleeping in crazy positions when we do our final check at night. I can't believe that he doesn't ever fall off of the bed. In the next 3 photos he is only being held on by one foot. In the later photos, he is basically standing with his body laying on the bed. I just thought that I would post the photos because I think it is pretty amazing and pretty hilarious!!
