Kate's special day
We blessed Kate at home because it was hard finding a Fast Sunday where all the family could make it to Sacrament meeting. I was nervous about it, because Jeff's family is large and so is mine. I didn't know how we were going to fit everyone in our tiny house. As it turns out, not many family members could come, so the house wasn't too crowded. I really enjoyed talking with everyone. It was so quaint and I loved the feeling in our home. When they blessed Kate, the kids, Molly and Gabe, made their way through the men's feet and laid on the floor, looking up at Kate being blessed. That definitely wouldn't have happened at church. I would love to do a baby blessing again, in my own home. It was so peaceful.

A trip to the Hogle Zoo
This is a picture of Gabe watching the monkeys. He was so focused on them swinging from branch to branch that he didn't even notice me taking a picture.
Trying to find the tiger.
Molly and Gabe loved watching the penguins. They had so much fun watching them dive into the water and swim around. They are fascinated with the movie "Surf's up" and they thought that one of these penguins was Cody Maverick. It is funny how real they think some cartoons are and how they think that they co-exist with us.

Fire Station Tour
Molly, Gabe, Kate, and I met some friends at a local fire station and got a tour. The firewoman that gave the tour was really cute, teaching them what to do if they are in a fire and showing them all her gear. Going to the firestation was all Gabe talked about for days. He had such a hard time waiting for the day. The night before we went, I told Gabe to go to sleep and rest his body so we could go to the firestation in the morning. The first thing he said when he woke up in the morning was "I rested my body. Can we go see the fire trucks now?" Their favorite thing about the tour was seeing the ambulance and fire truck up close and getting to walk through the ambulance. Gabe went through 2 or 3 times, but Molly was to shy to go through. They got little fire hats as we left, which they loved.

The twins turn 3 !!
The twins turned 3 on March 15th ! We took them to Toys 'R Us and let them pick out a cheap toy. Then we took them to Teddy Bear Builders and let them pick out a stuffed animal to build. They didn't like the empty stuffed animals. They thought they were scary. Later that night, the Herget side of the family came over for cake and ice cream. Jeff and I bought them new scooters and Grandma and Grandpa bought them new helmets and knee pads. They rode their scooters around, inside the house, for days and wore their helmets as much as possible.
