This is Kate at six months. I took her to Gingerbread photo to get her pictures done. They did a really good job and tried this hat out for the first time on Kate. I just love the look on her face. She is such a doll and has the prettiest eyes.

My sister's family pics

My sister, Erin, just got family pictures done. I just love this picture of her with her two kids. Little Blake was sure hamming it up. Erin used to make this face when she would wink when she was a kid. It is kind of funny. I think that the pictures turned out so cute. I had to add them to my blog.

Ferron Family Fun

Every year we go up to a campsite at Ferron Resevoir for the Pettey family reunion. We sure look forward to it each year. This year was especially cold and rainy. Not all years are so bad. The cold and rain had no effect on the kids. They ran around getting wet and muddy while the parents huddled in the camper or around what little fire we had.

The boys loved to ride on the 4-wheeler (Jeff included). This was Tyler's first year being able to drive one by himself. It was really handy because we didn't have any little kids bugging us all hours of the day to ride 4-wheelers. If they asked, Tyler would "graciously" offer to take them for a ride. He mostly just took them around and around and around the campsite circle so we could keep an eye on them. I was so cute to see the 3 boys ride together. They just giggled and played on them all day.

Soak City (Knottsberry farm's water park)

Gabe got to go around the lazy river with grandma and Melissa in a tube of his own. He thought it was a blast. They then took him down a water slide where he lost his swim trunks. They helped him pull up his trunks and helped him see the humor in it as they laughed and laughed.





Kate and Molly love the water in the kiddie area. We had to pull Molly out against her will when it was time to go.

Disneyland and California Adventures

Gabe and Molly could not wait to meet Mickey. He was the first one we saw as we entered the park on the first day. I don't think that either one knew what to think. Neither Molly or Gabe would go up to see him. Gabe finally warmed up the next day to the idea and would wait in line to see the characters, but Molly always stayed in the stroller to watch.

Here we are riding on Casey's train. We were all caged up like wild animals. The kids thought that this was the best! We rode it two times.

Kate spent most of her time at Disneyland riding one ride. It was slow paced, sweaty, and a little stinky. It was the Mommy ride....weeeeeeee, snugli pouch here I come!



Molly hated any ride that was noisy or dark. That eliminated alot of rides for her. The Winney the Pooh ride scared her (ooooo, scary) The Buzz Lightyear terrified her. Here she is covering her ears because the Buzz Lightyear ride was too noisy.

Doing silly faces while we waited for the Toy Story ride. Molly ended up having a huge blow-out and getting poop all over on the ride. I didn't notice until we were down the exit. I feel bad for the person who sat in her seat. When Molly is older, she can say that she got to ride topless through California Adventures without being arrested for indescent exposure. We got some wierd looks pushing a three year old through the park in a diaper.

This is how Molly left Disneyland every day.....Tired, exhausted, and passed-out in the stroller.

Butterfield family reunion

We have done a ton of fun things this summer. The only problem with doing so many fun things, is trying to keep up on your blog. We went to Palisades National Park for our Butterfield family reunion. Erin and I were only able to stay for the day and not the whole weekend. We rode down together. The kids had fun watching movies in the car and being together. We had fun letting the kids play in the water and spending time catching up with family. We wished that we could have spent more time there, but Erin was going to NYC and I had to work.
